Dying Light (2015) PS4 Review

18+

Intro:

In a city called Harran, a mysterious outbreak has caused people to turn into human eating monsters. The city has been put in a quarantine, but now the question remains, are there still survivors inside the city…?

Review of different aspects of the game:

The graphics are great, they really thought of everything when putting the map together and the characters. You can determine the graphics of a game by how the water has been made, because getting the water flow in a game is a hard thing to do. And when you look at the water in this game, the thing you will be saying to yourself is, wow.

The sound effects are put in perfectly to make an apocalypse like atmosphere, where everything has to be intense. There is no doubt that they put a lot of time and effort into this game.

The story is well written with some major plot twist that you don’t expect will happen. And that’s a really good thing because that keeps you excited about what will happen next in the storyline. This is one of those games that you can play a few times, just to make sure that you didn’t miss anything important.

For the PS4 the default controls have been made so you can make fast-paced decisions when you are running from a horde of violates. Especially when you have to jump from building to building, and running in the night where your sight has been decreased.

The gameplay is also great and deserves a lot of credit for it’s amazing work and dedication to give the players the best experience they can get. You can almost feel what it’s like to be overrun by infected people or intenseness of being chased in the night.

To be given this many options in a game of such quality isn’t something that comes with every game. I do kind of wish that you could get to see the character you play as from another perspective. The thing you will pay most attention to is properly the freerunning around the city and landscapes that gives you an incredible sight in how a city could be, in an apocalypse.
Good vs bad aspects:

Good:

Graphics
Story
Gameplay
Map
Overall experience

Bad:

Bad customization availability of weapons and character.
Some places look available, but are not.

And with all that we have chosen to give Dying Light a score of 10/10
